Semiconductor Settlement Transmitter is the patented method to measure subsidence by buried semiconductor device into the ground.

How to install

1. Install point selection and actual measuring from reference point

    -Select install point and measure actual distance from reference point after marking on it by signal pole, etc.

    -Select actual measuring distance as optional point out of influenced(or effective) area

    -Measurement :  Subsidence measured by portable indicating instrument on the spot

Automated manless( unmanned) measuring is possible for permanent measurement on vulnerable area  

2. Passage secure for cable installation : 

   Tube and cable must be installed lower than sand-mat

3. Sensor and tube installation

   -Install tube and cable in slant line along with passage after fixing on subsidence plate

   -Should be installed after covering protective tube with high endurance when expected subsidence is high

4. Protective pipe installation at waterway

   -Crossing waterway requires enough depth and extra protective pipe in order to prevent any possible breakage during digging

5. Reference water tank installation and cable connection

  -Tube and cable should be connected to water tank out of subsidence influence area

  -Datum should be made by measuring initial value after all installations are over

6. Banking

   -Compaction is easy because settlement pipe is not exposed on earth up unlike steel settlement plate.

-Semiconductor Settlement Transmitter lineup :  

 Three major parts; reference water tank, sensor and instruction parts compose     Semiconductor Settlement Transmitter. Two tubes filled with ethyleneglycol and water at 50 to 50 connect reference water tank and sensor part, and sensor part is connected with instruction part by the cable including vent tube to correct atmosphere pressure.

-Subsidence measuring theory : 

Subsidence measured by converting head-pressure variant to location variant with semiconductor element installed at pressure sensor part

-Semiconductor sensor major characteristics  :   

Semiconductor sensor consists of resistor materials (four bridge circuits) inserted into semiconductor and this measures pressure given to semiconductor element and outputs voltage which is proportional to resistor value.

-Output instrument characteristics :   

Output instrument sends resistor variation according to pressure variation to amplifier as voltage output and it is possible to connect any receiver because it is converted and output as international common signals (4~20mA, DC) and subsidence (mm) is shown on data display instrument in real-time.
